Hydrosorb Gel
Hydrosorb Gel from HARTMANN is an amorphous hydrogel for the treatment of nearly dry chronic wounds. The clear gel helps to remove necrotic tissue by continuously moisturizing the wound.
Cleansing wounds of foreign material such as necrotic tissue and debris plays a key role in the wound healing process. In modern wound management hydrogels are particularly used to dissolve and separate dead tissue from healthy tissue without pain. In addition to hydrogels in sheet form, HARTMANN also provides a liquid hydrogel.
Hydrosorb Gel enables quick wound cleansing thanks to its hydroactive effect. It can be combined with all wound dressings and minimizes pain during dressing changes. The syringe enables accurate dosing, dispensing the gel with the tip directly into the wound with no mess, and thus minimizing the risk of application errors. The wound volume and the amount of gel still available can be accuratelydetermined to the nearest milliliter by two scales. The ease of use of the syringe mechanism ensures reliable dosing of the gel, saving valuable time. Unlike tubes, where a lot of gel often tends to be left unused, the Hydrosorb Gel syringe can be effectively emptied. Also, the syringe can be re-sealed whenever there is a need to interrupt treatment.
