Foliodrape consists of a triple layer composite material which can absorb accumulating fluids and simultaneously has a barrier function against fluids as well as microorganisms.
The absorbent top layer made of non-woven fabric forms a three-dimensional structure (“orange skin structure”) which binds fluids accumulating in the operating room inside itself.
The use of pore-free, impermeable polyethylene lowers the risk of infection after surgical procedures because the migration of pathogenic germs from the patient’s skin into the open body wound is prevented.
The bottom layer absorbs the patient’s perspiration and prevents sticking to the skin.
