Special importance is attached to the incontinence management in elderly / nursing homes as 80% of all residents of the residential care for the elderly are incontinent. Furthermore, transparent cost management is one of the requirements for the successful housekeeping in elderly / nursing homes. The incontinence provision is a very time- and cost-intensive domain of the residential care. It should be the aim to provide the residents optimally within the scope of care aspects and economically at the same time.
For this purpose, HARTMANN offers you a solution: HILMAS 5 (“HARTMANN Incontinence Logistics Management and Assessment System”).
The web-based cost management software HILMAS 5 was developed in close collaboration with our customers and on the basis of long-time and Europe-wide experiences. Through the continuous and close cooperation with our customers as well as through the consideration of the latest legal ordinances, HILMAS is enhanced permanently. That’s why HILMAS is always up-to-date. The current version 5 of HILMAS supports a custodially optimal and efficient incontinence provision and, thus, ensures a purposeful and systematic cost management. Detailed cost statistics allow not only the comparison of single residents’ areas, but also of single residents. Additionally, easy handling and helpful modules simplify the work at the residents’ areas. The cost savings resulting from the optimised use of incontinence products, partially up to 30 %, don’t debase the care quality. Hence, HILMAS helps provide optimally within the scope of care aspects and economically at the same time. In the course of the new web-based version 5 of HILMAS, time-consuming installations and maintenance of application become omitted, you can access HILMAS 5 via every computer disposing of internet connection. Password protected users and clearly defined roles for each user secure the application of HILMAS 5. Consequently, HILMAS 5 saves even more time and costs.
HILMAS is a freeware program developed by HARTMANN. It is easy to apply on a computer and intended to help the responsible persons in old people’s and nursing homes to optimize incontinence management. HILMAS helps to establish optimal provision schedules for each individual resident and integrates these sheets into a central management function for analysis of daily requirements, creating orders and carrying inventory. A cost statistics function allows to compare planned costs with the current costs. These functions make HILMAS a useful tool for cost-effective incontinence management.
