DermaPlast Hydro range

The DermaPlast Hydro range is a selection of modern plasters whose action is based on moist wound healing.

The goal of moist wound treatment is to create and maintain conditions which promote optimum cell division or optimum cell growth. This should enable fast and a complication-free healing process. While wound healing takes place in a dry condition and scabbing can occur under conventional plasters, eschar formation is prevented with these modern plasters, so-called hydrocolloids and hydrogels.

Scientific studies have shown that skin cells reproduce much better and faster and the wound can close more easily in a moist wound milieu, which accelerates the healing process. Hydrocolloids and hydrogels also have a pressure and pain-reducing effect. The plasters can remain on the wound under optimum conditions for several days and should be used until complete healing.

DermaPlast blister plasters

DermaPlast blister plasters
(large and small)
DermaPlast blister plasters are perfect for the prevention and treatment of blisters on heels and balls (large blister plaster) as well as on fingers and toes (small blister plaster). These modern wound plasters consist of a self-adhesive hydrocolloid mass which promotes wound healing according to the principle of moist wound healing. DermaPlast blister plasters have a pressure- and pain-reducing effect and pad the wound. The reinforced padding is created by the absorption of the blister fluid by the hydrocolloid which turns into a gel pad and protects the wound additionally. The bevelled, thin edges of the plaster prevent the penetration of water, dirt and bacteria and provide for an optimum fit and high wearing comfort.

DermaPlast corn plasters

DermaPlast corn plasters
DermaPlast corn plasters are perfect for the treatment of corns. DermaPlast corn plasters have a pressure- and pain-reducing effect and pad the wound. The horny skin is softened by the developing moist wound milieu, thus facilitating the removal of the corn. This process takes place without the action of acid.

DermaPlast abrasion plasters

DermaPlast abrasion plasters
DermaPlast abrasion plasters enable the practical and effective treatment of superficial abrasions and minor (no longer bleeding) cuts. The skin abrasion wounds plasters consist of a hydrocolloid mass which actively supports the body’s natural healing power according to the principle of moist wound healing. The moist wound milieu enables skin cells to reproduce much faster and the wound can close more easily due to the prevention of eschar formation, thus guaranteeing a complication-free, fast healing process. The special material with its bevelled, thin edges provides for an optimum and comfortable hold on the skin and offers excellent protection against dirt and bacteria.

DermaPlast burn plasters

DermaPlast burn plasters
DermaPlast burn plasters enable the practical and effective treatment of superficial burns and scalding. The burn plasters consist of a moist, solid gel which produces an optimum moisture balance in the wound and quickly ensures noticeable cooling and thus lessening of pain in the affected part of the skin. DermaPlast burn plasters can deliver moisture as well as absorb wound secretion and actively support the body’s natural healing power and ensure a fast, complication-free healing process according to the principle of moist wound healing. Thanks to the transparency of the material, it is possible to check the wound and the healing process at any time without removing the plaster. Thus dressing change frequency can be reduced considerably.
