Application of Hydrotul
For easy treatment of chronic wounds, such as ulcera cruris mixta, but also for acute wounds, HARTMANN has developed a wound dressing that combines the beneficial properties of traditional ointment dressings with modern technology.
While the ointment soothes the wound edges and prevents maceration, the Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) particles embedded in the creamy mass produce a gel when in contact with the exudate. This creates a moist wound environment that is crucial for successful healing. It also prevents sticking so that the dressing can be changed painlessly.
Hydrotüll is for general use and can be combined with many other wound dressings. Besides being easy to handle, Hydrotüll helps savetime and costs as the ointment dressing can be left on the wound for several days.
