The HARTMANN Logistics Centre in Herbrechtingen is to be expanded.
Over the next year, a further 24,000 pallet spaces are to be added to the 30,000 that already exist. Furthermore, a fully automated telpher line will optimise the flow of materials between Operations and the Logistics Centre.
For the official launch of this building project, in which HARTMANN will invest a total of 16 million Euro, the members of the Management Board Dr. Rinaldo Riguzzi (Chairman), Friedrich Pohl, Norbert Unterharnscheidt and Dr. Thomas Wurster as well as District Councillor Hermann Mader and Dr. Bernd Sipple, Mayor of Herbrechtingen, attended the “Turning of the First Sod” ceremony last Thursday. Sat in a digger, Dr. Rinaldo Riguzzi dug out the first excavation at the HARTMANN grounds in Industrial Area Vohenstein. He described the expansion of the Logistics Centre as a sign for the whole region and gave the project the motto: "HARTMANN for the region, the region with HARTMANN".
The building project “Logistics Centre” should be completed by spring 2007.
