Suitable skin protection must be ensured in sunshine.
Summer has arrived. And with it the time when warm pullovers and jackets are stowed away again in the closet and skin is often bare. Particularly in warm weather men and women are reluctant to do without an attractive appearance and a pleasant body scent.
But be careful:
Creams, make-up or perfume often contain substances, such as essential oils, which increase the light sensitivity of the skin. Therefore they should be used only sparingly or not at all in the sun. Dab perfume only on spots which are not exposed to direct sunshine. The chemical substances contained in the oils can trigger phototoxic reactions such as sunburn, sun allergy or Mallorca acne (formation of acne-like pimples) on contact with the skin and simultaneous exposure to UV rays. This should also be kept in mind for massages with essential oils.
Therefore during sunbathing it is advisable to use a sunscreen with a sufficient sun protection factor – and to put perfume on only in the evening.
