General first aid rules

Shock / Trendelenburg position
A shock condition must be treated immediately.   

Respiratory arrest / artificial respiration
Respiratory arrest is life-threatening! Therefore begin immediately with resuscitation.  

Unconsciousness / stable side position
In the event of unconsciousness, check breathing and use the stable side position.  

Haemostasis
The body is able to heal small bleeding by itself. Heavier or internal bleeding can be life-threatening.   

Resuscitation / cardiac arrest
In the event of cardiac arrest, as little as minutes can decide between life and death.  

Heat stroke
Heat stroke can also happen without direct sunshine. If left untreated, it can even be life-threatening.
