Michel Kuehn was appointed Chief Operating Officer (COO) of PAUL HARTMANN AG effective as of April 1, 2006. 

Kuehn, born on May 7, 1954 in Bindernheim/France, studied at the Institut Européen d'Etudes Commerciales Supérieures (European Business School) in Strasbourg, Alsace after graduating from high-school in Colmar, and received his Ingénieur Commercial degree in 1976.

From 1976 to 1980, Michel Kuehn was an Export Sales Manager at Mentzer in Sélestat, a manufacturer of leather articles. From 1981 to 1987 he was the Managing Director of the Winzergenossenschaft Bennwihr, the third largest wine-merchant in Alsace. And the period afterwards, until 1992, Kuehn had the same position at the Alsatian mineral water producer Sources de Soultzmatt.

In 1993, he joined PAUL HARTMANN S.A. in Châtenois as a Sales Manager for the Hospital Customer Segment and Old People's Homes and was appointed the Managing Director of the French HARTMANN subsidiary in 2001. In addition, he has been the Regional Director of West/South Europe and Member of the Management Board representing most subsidiaries in this Region since 2004.
