Dr. Felix Fremerey, born in 1961 in Mittenwald, has been a Board Member of PAUL HARTMANN AG since September 1, 2006. He is responsible for product Supply Management at Board Level, which includes Production, Purchasing, Logistics and IT.
Dr. Fremerey studied industrial engineering specializing in manufacturing technology at Karlsruhe Technical University. Already during his studies, he worked as a sales consultant for Sharp Electronics in Baden-Württemberg. After completing his studies and while working, he made his PhD in Engineering at the University of Stuttgart for a paper on computer-based optimization of flexibility in multi-variant assembly systems.
From 1987 to 1993, he worked at the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Engineering (IAO), Stuttgart, in the production and factory planning sector initially as a consultant and later as Head of Production Management. From 1993 to 1999, he was Head of Production Planning for one year and then Head of the Order Processing Center at the Gebrüder Trox GmbH in Neukirchen-Vluyn, a manufacturer of air conditioning and filter technique components. From 1999 to 2001, he was Chairman of the Executive Board of the Austrian-based engineering group Hoerbiger-Origa GmbH in Altenstadt, a manufacturer of industrial automation components.
In 2001, he joined the engineering group GEA AG, Bochum, as Divisional Board Member responsible for production, purchasing, logistics and product development for all air treatment technology manufacturing sites.
