Fire protection

At the HARTMANN GROUP fire protection means prevention, averting risks to persons and the environment as well as protecting tangible and intangible assets. This includes both preventative measures to stop fires from breaking out and averting danger by fire-fighting at the earliest opportunity. Attention to measures relating to construction, plant engineering and organization also help us to establish effective fire protection units at our various sites.

Fire protection officers

Our fire protection officers
receive regular training at
seminars and practical
briefings
In order to implement on-site fire protection one fire protection officer, fire protection deputies and if necessary a sprinkler assistant are appointed and trained up at each site. The fire protection officer’s functions include conducting site inspections, fire protection audits and fire inspections, checking equipment relevant to fire protection and organizing training courses and briefings on the subject of fire protection. They have extensive reporting duties, have a say in fire protection-related matters and act in an advisory capacity to the company management. HARTMANN holds regular in-house seminars for training the fire protection officers, where participants are treated to an in-depth, practice-oriented look at relevant topics such as lightening protection in theory and practice or how to handle hazardous materials.
