HARTMANN participates in cross-company and cross- national initiatives and alliances
Only by operating prudently we can secure ourselves lasting prospects on the global market. Which is why we place such importance on promoting responsible behaviour within and beyond our company. The HARTMANN GROUP is open to communicating and collaborating with various target audiences.
Our collaboration policy
The HARTMANN GROUP strives to promote collaboration and the exchange of experience with partners active in health, safety and environmental protection within the Group and in our field. Accordingly, one important aspect of our HSE policy is an open information policy supported by modern media. We look to engage in dialogue with our target audiences and participate in cross-company and cross-national initiatives and alliances
Membership of organizations
EDANA represents the interests of over 180 European manufacturers of disposables and nonwovens
In a large number of respects, many companies in one sector are faced with similar requirements with regard to environmental protection or safety at work. Accordingly, as a member of the European Disposables And Nonwovens Association (edana) the HARTMANN GROUP networks its commitment on an international level with other companies in the sector. Established with this purpose in mind, the ”EDANA Environmental Task Force” (ETF) serves as a platform for the exchange of information and experience on an international level.
Environmental alliances
Collaboration taking as its motto “On the road together for your health”
Cooperation for truck transport Since 1999 HARTMANN and B. Braun Melsungen AG have been supplying medical customers in Germany together. Our objective: to pool our transport requirements using joint transport providers. Since then, taking as our motto, “On the road together for your health” we have been using the same trucks to transport both companies’ products wherever possible. This means that the vehicles are loaded to better capacity and to date we have been able to save an annual figure of some 2.5 million truck kilometres as well as cutting down on more than 2,400 metric tons of CO2 emissions. We are currently preparing to extend the concept to the international markets.
